Kurtis Rupé
Kurtis Rupé traded in a financial services career for an earlier-than-expected active retirement. After spending most of his life near the ocean in Long Beach, Orange County, and the San Francisco Bay Area, he now digs Southern Arizona's heat and quirky vibes with his partner and their three little dogs. His story “Ready to Take a Chance Again" appears in the anthology A Killing at the Copa: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of Barry Manilow by White City Press. Nazca Press published “Santa and Cinnamon” in their anthology Santa Rage: A Killer Claus Compendium. "Echoes of Lydia" will appear soon in the speculative fiction anthology JR Handley Presents: 'Face the Storm' from Three Ravens Publishing. His poetry has been published in Chiron Review, Nerve Cowboy, and Pearl, and he recently won a $50 gift card for second place in a limerick competition. Kurtis likes taking Tai Chi classes, exploring the Sonoran Desert, grooving to live music, and volunteering at the local nonprofit Friends of the Library bookstore.
